Christopher J. Whitelock, Esq.

Founder & Senior Partner

With over 30 years of civil litigation experience, Chris Whitelock is a founding partner of Whitelock & Associates, P.A. He has successfully litigated and tried cases throughout Florida in federal, state, and administrative courts, representing both public and private sector clients in complex legal matters.

Mr. Whitelock has served as legal counsel and advisor to numerous governmental agencies and officials, including state, county, and local entities. He also represents private businesses, ranging from sole proprietorships to Fortune 500 companies, in litigation and appellate matters, with a client portfolio that has included McDonald's Corporation, American Express, Darden Restaurants, Florida Waste Removal Companies, and major financial institutions. His education law practice includes representing Florida State University, the University of Florida, FAU, FIU, and their administrators in litigation across various legal fields. His firm is also a trusted legal partner for some of South Florida’s most respected employee management groups and associations, representing directors, principals, assistant principals, and other management officials.
 

 Mr. Whitelock has built an extensive practice representing professional athletes and their families. His legal background in education and collegiate sports led him to counsel athletes as they transitioned into the professional world, ultimately evolving into comprehensive career management services. He provides contract negotiation, corporate and family planning, intellectual property protection, and litigation services, ensuring long-term security and success for his clients. The firm has worked with All-Pro players, first-round draft picks, and elite athletes, navigating negotiations with agents, financial advisors, and global commercial partners.
 

Beyond the courtroom, Mr. Whitelock is an active thought leader in legal circles, lecturing on labor, employment law, and governmental matters. Admitted to The Florida Bar and all federal district courts, Mr. Whitelock continues to provide strategic legal counsel to businesses, government entities, and professionals while remaining a trusted advocate for athletes and high-profile clients navigating legal and business challenges.

David Frank

Partner

David S. Frank has served as an attorney at Whitelock & Associates, P.A. for over a decade. He represents  a wide range of clients, including small and large business, government agencies and personnel, as well as professionals. Mr. Frank's practice areas include commercial litigation, employment law, real estate, regulatory matters, and sports and entertainment law. He has successfully litigated complex cases, including class action employment disputes, and serves as outside general counsel to companies, advising on contracts, policies, and compliance.
 

In addition to his litigation practice, Mr. Frank represents athletes, media personalities, and executives in career management and legal matters, including NIL (Name, Image, and Likeness) deals, agency contracts, non-compete agreements, and endorsement negotiations. His experience spans industries where business, law, and public profile intersect.
 

Before joining Whitelock & Associates, P.A., he worked at both national and boutique law firms, handling malpractice defense, commercial litigation, and construction law. He has successfully taken multiple cases to trial, securing favorable outcomes for his clients.
 

Mr. Frank earned his J.D., cum laude, from Florida State University College of Law and his B.A. in Political Science from The George Washington University. He is licensed to practice in Florida and admitted to the U.S. District Courts for the Southern District of Florida and Middle District of Florida.

Jessalynn 

Kantzavelos

Of Counsel

Jessalynn leverages nearly a decade of prosecutorial and investigative experience to guide clients through their most sensitive disputes. As a Senior Prosecutor in the Boward County State Attorney's Office Public Corruption Unit, she investigated and tried high-profile cases, often in the media, involving bribery, official misconduct, and other breaches of public trust. She collaborated closely with local, state, and federal agencies on criminal investigations and led more than 30 jury trials and 30 bench trials to verdict during her tenure at the State Attorney's Office.

Admitted to the Florida bar in 2015, Jessalynn  earned her J.D. from the University of Miami School of Law, where she achieved the CALI Award for top performance in Legal Communication & Research. She was a member of the Business Law Review, and graduated with honors in the Litigation Skills Program.

Jessalynn now focuses her courtroom acumen and deep investigative insight on private practice. She handles select civil matters involving state and federal legal issues. She advises individuals, corporations, and public entities on internal investigations, government defense, and complex civil and criminal litigation. Outside the office, she enjoys reading, playing tennis, and traveling with her family.

Senior Counsel

Jana Gold has over 25 years of litigation experience in commercial, real estate, probate and governmental matters. She is a member of the Florida Bar, and various Federal District Courts. She also additionally advises clients in contract disputes, business negotiations, non-competition and debt collection issues, alternative dispute resolution/s (arbitration and mediation) and administrative proceedings, while appearing in both State and Federal Courts, as well as administrative matters and agencies.
